UNSEEN is not open yet. The only thing this website does is take an email address so we can tell you when it is.

Who we are

Private Room Inc., a corporation registered in Delaware, United States, trading as UNSEEN, is the controller of the data described here. Contact us at knock@unseen.cam.

What we collect, and why

Your email address: Only what you type into the waitlist field, plus a short tag noting which page you signed up from. We use it to confirm your signup, to tell you when UNSEEN opens, and for occasional updates until then. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting the form and withdrawable at any time.
Standard server records: Our host logs the technical details of each request, including your IP address, to keep the site running and block abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). Kept no longer than 90 days.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. There is nothing to consent to, so there is no cookie banner.

Who else touches it

We do not sell your data or share it for anyone else's advertising. Two processors handle it on our behalf, both in the United States and both under a data processing agreement:

Netlify, Inc.: Hosts this site and stores waitlist submissions. Privacy notice

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, this means your data is transferred to the United States. Our processors' agreements incorporate the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, with the UK Addendum where relevant, as the safeguard for that transfer.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until 24 months pass without a launch — at which point we delete the list.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, have its use restricted, receive it in a portable form, object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email knock@unseen.cam and we will respond within 30 days, free of charge. Every message we send also carries an unsubscribe link.

You may also complain to your data protection authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec); elsewhere in the EEA, your national equivalent; in the UK, the ICO.

If you are in California: you may request disclosure, deletion or correction of your personal information. We have not sold or shared personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If a child has given us their address, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and the date above, and tell you by email first if the change materially affects how we use your address.
